Madison County Cattleman’s Association and Big Bend Cattlewomen attended the 2025 Florida Cattlemen’s Convention and Trade Show in June and represented Madison well, receiving awards for their associations. Two members were also selected to serve on the 2025-2026 Florida Cattlemen’s Executive Board.

Emily Beaty and Bryan McHargue each received recognition for completing and graduating from the Florida Cattlemen’s Leadership Academy (FCLA) Class 11. In these classes, members would travel to various cattle industries across Florida and network learning about different methods cattle workers use.
One of the Big Bend Cattlewomen’s past presidents, Celina Moncrief was selected to served on the 2025-26 Florida Cattlemen’s Executive Board. Josh Churchwell was also appointed by Florida Cattlemen’s Association (FCA) President Rick Moyer to serve as the District Two representative for the FCA Committee.

Madison County Cattleman’s Association and Big Bend Cattlewomen host various events in the county teaching the importance of agriculture.
Upcoming Madison County Cattlemen’s Association include:
- Friday, Oct. 24, Big Bend Cattlewomen will host a paint party, with the funds raised benefitting children’s agriculture education
- Thursday, Nov. 6, Madison County Cattlemen’s Association will hold their business meeting
- Saturday, Feb. 14, fourth annual Denim and Diamonds Dinner will be held at Kings Mill Cabin, located at 288 NW Whispering Pines Loop, in Madison.

They also need a band and food for this event. Madison Cattleman’s Association will also recognize any businesses that cannot make it to this year’s Denim and Diamonds event.
