A log truck lost its load onto the side of another vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 90 and State Road 53 South on Saturday, August 1 at 12:15 p.m. According to the Madison Police Department report, Robert Leonard Gosford, 57, of McAlpin, Fl. was headed west on U.S. 90, making a right turn north on SR 53. Curtis Ryan Sevor, 43, of Madison, Fl. was stopped at the red light in the turning lane on SR 53 waiting to turn left onto U.S. 90. Gosford lost control of his 2006 Mack Semi and dropped its load of logs onto the left side of Sevor’s 1996 Buick Riviera. Neither driver reported injuries. Gosford was cited for unsafe faulty equipment. Traffic was detoured until the scene was cleared at 3:20 p.m.
