During the summer leading up to her seventh-grade year at Madison County Central School, Chloe Dickinson began a project called “Beyond the crown,” to help provide shoes to benefit a children’s home. Dickinson’s Beyond the crown initiative continues with a new project aimed at providing coats for people in need.
In collaboration with Christopher’s Message and in an effort to “spread warmth and kindness in our community,” Dickinson is currently collecting coats that will be passed along to those who may be in need. She is asking for any new or gently worn coats or hoodies to be donated. Donations may be dropped off at We Insure, located at 353 NE Marion St., Suite One, in Madison, or at Aunt Bobbie’s Preschool of the Arts, located at 139 NW Haynes St., in Madison. There will also be donation boxes set up during Light Up Madison on Saturday, Dec. 6 and the Madison Market Days on Saturday, Dec. 13. Once collected, the coats will be distributed to schools, children’s home and anyone in need.
In January, Dickinson will compete in the Little Miss North Florida Pageant. She is the daughter of Michael and Charlie Dickinson and Wendy Dickinson.
