The Nu Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (AKA), Inc. will present their annual Father-Daughter Dance, deemed the “Butterfly Ball,” on Saturday, Feb. 22. Taking place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the evening event will be held at the Madison Womans Club, located at 345 SE Lakeshore Dr., in Madison.
Organizers anticipate a memorable event in which attendees may don their finest attire and showcase their fathers or father figures in a memorable evening filled with dancing, door prizes, dinner, fellowship and fun. The dance focuses on the importance of fathers/father figures and their daughters having strong, healthy and respectful relationships.
Fathers, it's time to grab your dancing shoes because you don’t want miss this event. This is an event for all ages, children to adult. The annual dance features music provided by a live DJ for all generations and is geared toward fathers, father figures and daughters.
In addition to dancing, the Butterfly Ball will include a father/daughter game show, dance contests, fashion show, door prizes and a keepsake photo. Prizes will be given to the best coordinated family.
Tickets are $25 per couple and $5 per each additional person. Proceeds will provide academic scholarships and support other AKA community sponsored projects.
