The libraries of Madison County are excited to announce their summer reading program, but things are looking a little different this year.
With COVID-19 still a concern not only in Madison County, but worldwide, the Suwannee River Regional Library System is taking literacy seriously in a virtual manner this season. The Page Turner Adventures virtual summer reading program will be available to Madison County kindergarten through third grade students.
The program can be accessed beginning Monday, June 8, through the Suwannee River Regional Library System's Facebook page or through their website, www.srrlib.org.
On Tuesday, June 9, youth can pick up a Make-and-Take bag, which will include craft supplies to create fairytale paper bag houses and fairytale paper bag puppets. The bags will be available at your local branch library by either a scheduled curbside pick-up or by appointment. New crafts will be released every Tuesday as long as the program is available.
If you have questions regarding the program, contact your local library branch: Madison Public Library, (850) 973-6814; Greenville Public Library, (850) 948-2529; and Lee Public Library, (850) 971-5665.
