The Lee Public Library, located at 7883 E U.S. Hwy. 90, in Lee, recently announced they would be opening their doors on Monday, May 5.
The library closed back in August, due to storm damage suffered from Hurricane Debby. The drywall along the back half of the Lee Public Library soaked up water, as well as the carpeting. The carpet and drywall had to be replaced in the library before it was ready for reopening. None of the books or other resources the library offered were damaged.
Once open, the Lee Public Library will be back to their regular business hours. The libraries hours are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. with a lunch break from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.
