The Lee Public Library was abuzz with activity on Friday, Oct. 30, as they celebrated Halloween in grand fashion. Costumed children filled the normally quiet library with laughter as they did some coloring, read their favorite scary books, ate plenty of snacks and enjoyed a Charlie Brown Halloween movie.
While some kids relaxed during the film, others found creative ways to burn off the sugary treats they enjoyed by running around the room or doing flips on the large pillow in the center of the room.
Whatever they chose, it was clear that everyone had a great time at the event, which also featured a fictional “reading graveyard” near the entrance, filled with tombstones of pour souls who managed to die in the midst of reading or, perhaps, because they were reading.
