On Thursday, June 25, the Howard C. Barker American Legion Post 422, in Lee, marked their one-year anniversary with an open house and the installation of officers for the next year. Several American Legion leaders from around the district, along with special guests were on hand for the occasion, including Darlene Mickel, the niece of the posts’ namesake, along with her husband, Gary.
The Post 422 Auxiliary Officers are: Crystal Putnam, Ramona Prine, Donna Serano, Vanessa Grebe and Jennifer Williams. The officers for the Sons of the American Legion include: Matthew Grebe, Christoper Grebe, Charles Croft and Jason Hackle. The officers for the American Legion Riders Chapter are: Mo Howard, Donna Chandler, Tom Zimmerly and Jaime Serano. New officers for the American Legion Post 422 are: Jaime Serano, Cole New-Smail, Tom Tuckey, Steven Williams, Rip Prine and Billy Howard.
With a year under their belt, the Howard C. Barker American Legion Post 422 rededicated themselves to embody Florida Department Commander Bob Matheson’s motto of “Veterans - Family - Friends” throughout the Lee community and beyond.
