Once a month, I have the privilege of speaking at Honey Lake Cinic, a Christian recovery facility in Madison County. Each trip, I pass a house with a semi parked in the front yard, and I laugh to myself. This semi-truck has been sitting in the same place for so long, there are several trees growing through the back where it hitches to a trailer.
I imagine the owner telling his wife, “I’ll get around to it,” over and over for years now. In his mind, he likely desires to get around to it, and maybe one day he will, but the longer he waits, the less realistic the repair process will be.
