Saturday was special. The Chamber hosted their quarterly Downtown Market, and I set up a booth with my books and earrings. What a blessed day! I got to hug the necks of friends I have not seen in over a decade who made a special effort to purchase my new Bible study book. Several folks sat in my extra chair, and we had deep, inspiring conversations. People who I don’t often see surprised me by choosing to participate in the study and sharing it with their friends and family. I was truly touched by the outpouring of kindness and encouragement.
Reflecting on the day, I thanked God for my tribe of friends and family. For all the people He has placed in my path: past, present and the ones to come. High school memories of band practices and field trips flooded my mind, followed by thoughts of those first years of teaching elementary school. Each step of my journey brought more and more connections and thanks to social media, we are able to stay connected.
