Downtown Madison will sparkle once again as the Kiwanis Club of Madison presents Light Up Madison 2025, on Saturday, Dec. 6, bringing the community together for an evening of lights, music, food and holiday cheer. The event will take place along Range Street, beginning at 4 p.m., with festivities continuing into the evening.
Families can look forward to a night filled with live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors and the lighting of Madison’s Christmas tree. Santa Clause will make a special visit for photos and children’s activities, and the streets will be lined with decorated booths and displays from the areas businesses, churches and other groups.
Those wanting to participate are encouraged to sign up early, as spaces are limited for both vendors and parade entries. Vendor and parade applications can be picked up from members of the Kiwanis Club of Madison, the Madison Chamber of Commerce or found online through the club’s social media and community event pages.The application deadline is Thursday, Nov. 20. Submit completed applications to Kaitlynn Culpepper, at Tri-County Electric Cooperative or Deena Hames, of the Kiwanis Club of Madison.
To keep the event safe and family friendly, the Kiwanis Club has listed several rules and guidelines for participants: No alcohol or smoking is permitted within the event area, all booths must be decorated in a Christmas theme, generators must be properly secured, only registered vendors and approved parade entries will be allowed on site and set up begins at 1 p.m. All vehicles must be removed from the area by 3:30 p.m.
Starting at 4 p.m., Becky’s Dance Studio will showcase their highly anticipated annual performance “Holidazzle 2025,” featuring youth and adults showcasing their outstanding dancing skills for the holiday season.
The Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place at dusk, marking the highlight of the evening as downtown Madison officially lights up the holiday season. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs, stroll through the decorated downtown area and enjoy the sights and sounds of one of Madison County’s most anticipated traditions.
Organized and hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Madison, Light up Madison continues to showcase the community’s celebration and the warmth of the holiday season.
