On Wednesday, May 10, a house fire burned the home of Bonnie Rolfe, located at 249 Pale Sedge Trail, in Pinetta. The cause of the blaze is under investigation, but it is believed to have been the result of lithium batteries being charged. According to Madison County Fire Rescue, no injuries were reported and the fire was confined to the house.
Red Cross was notified and assisted the occupant with basic needs. Further assistance is being organized by members of Rolfe's church, Fellowship Baptist Church. An account has been established at Madison County Community Bank to take donations. Those interested may donate to the “Bonnie Rolfe Benefit Fund” at the bank.
