Madison native Kyle Sealey was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, which is an aggressive cancer requiring two years of treatment.
Fundraisers are underway to help Kyle with the long and expensive road ahead. Megan Strickland has created a t-shirt design with “Kickin’ Cancer with Kyle” stylishly displayed in cammo and orange colors. Sizes are available from 2-T to 5-X. Adult shirts are $25 and youth sizes are $20.
To pre-order shirts, call Strickland at (850) 464-9561. She has additional fundraisers in the works, so keep an eye on her Facebook page for details.
A bank account has been established at Madison County Community Bank for Sealey. To make donations, ask to contribute to “Kyle’s Medical Fund.”
Also coming up is a takeout fundraiser sponsored by Williams Tractor Service and Pickles & Sons Welding and Fabrication. The plates will be served on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 12 p.m., at Pickles & Sons, located at 174 SW Miillinor St., in Madison.
Plates are $10 each and include a grilled leg quarter, green beans, corn, coleslaw and a Hawaiian roll. Plates will be served until they are sold out. No preorders are needed.
Madison Nutrition has a fundraiser planned for Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. Customers can choose to up charge their orders in order to support Sealey. Also, a donation jar will continue to be available for customers to support him with mounting medical expenses that will continue for an extensive amount of time.
The Sealeys would like to thank Austin Odom for recently holding a benefit gun raffle to help with Kyle’s expenses. Another blessing to the family has been Jodie Cooper, who helped Kyle by donating 50 percent of her Mary Kay profits during the entire month of April.
