Madison native Ashley Renée graduated from Madison County High School (MCHS) in 2004. In 2010, Renée obtained her Associate in Art’s degree from North Florida Community College (NFCC). She then went back to NFCC in 2015 and got her practical nursing degree.
Renée works at Live Oak Health and Rehab and has been a nurse for 10 years. She originally thought she wanted to pursue a teaching degree but changed her degree after realizing how much she enjoyed healthcare.
Her favorite thing about being an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is “ The ability to care for somebody else’s family when they’re not able to.” Renée started her nursing career in corrections before moving to geriatrics and long-term care at Lake Park of Madison Nursing and Rehabilitation. She worked at Lake Park of Madison for eight years. She has done a bit of travel nursing and home healthcare. “I am thankful for the strong bonds with different nurses who taught me different things over the years,” Renée states.
Renée thanks her mom, Estelle Hadden, for always being her greatest supporter and helping her with her children. “It’s a very rewarding job. I’m just happy to be able to do it,” Renée gratefully expressed.
She has four children: Alyssa Oakes, Logan Oakes, Emma Day and Piper Myers.
