Madison County native Coddrick Griffin is happy to have written and published his first book, “24 in 60.” the book is a collection of 60 positive reflections on self improvement. Griffin hopes the reflections will inspire personal growth and good manners in his readers. He also sees the book as a good response to the current culture of negativity, especially evident on social media.
Knowing that many aspire to live a better life, Griffin encourages readers to not fixate on trying to get “somewhere,” but to “grow from where you are instead of where you want to be.” Each lesson has one or more reflective questions, with space provided for journaling. “The reading experience is interactive,” said Griffin.
Griffin isn't just trying to sell a book. His own life experiences have taught him the value of remaining positive and making wise choices. He grew up poor, watched his father endure a heart transplant and has had numerous deaths in his family. His book was inspired by the world travels afforded him since joining the U.S. Army and especially by the arrival of his baby boy several months ago.
