"Iron sharpens iron, and so one person sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17. People can interact and help refine each other and this constructive conflict is important. It is exciting to have an event that allows us to exercise democracy and have a platform to voice our concerns and interests. I would like to express my gratitude to Greene Publishing and The Madison Women’s Club for hosting the event Saturday; July 20th.The future of Madison County holds new visions, ideas, and economic developments that can pave the way for a better future for our community and our youth. As a local businessman, I am personally invested in supporting our local businesses and new ideas for the community and the next generation. As a local employer of a business where I interact with local citizens everyday and parents to children in this community, I understand the needs and concerns of our community.I am confident in my ability to take charge and be accountable. I believe that a County Commissioner is a voice for the citizens and is a leader. I pledge to my County and the citizens of District 1 that Greg Vickers will be a competent leader that is aware, authentic, adaptable, and accountable!My supporters and I are excited about the new growth and developments that lie ahead for Madison County and I am excited to engage myself for the next four years and maybe beyond. I feel that my entrepreneurial mindset can benefit us and is why I decided to get involved for the opportunities and for progress that we must embrace going forward. Being a voice for our citizens is both a privilege and a job. Many people in this county know me as a hardworking man who takes his job very seriously. My track record of success in business is a testament to my strong work ethic. I consider myself a leader and a winner, but more importantly, I am a team player. I believe that democracy should be about working together and supporting each other. To the residents of District 1 and the citizens of Madison County, I humbly ask for your vote on August 20th or in Early voting. Together, we will share this energy and make a positive impact on our community.
