On Saturday, Aug. 27, Suwannee County Sheriff's Office Deputy Justin Dalton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving erratically on State Road 51, near 129th Road, in Live Oak, Fla.
Upon speaking to the driver, Courtney Chantalle Tyler, 34, from Greenville, Fla., she appeared nervous and fidgety. When Deputy Dalton requested permission to search her vehicle, she refused, but Cpl. Justin Stout and his K9 partner, Loki, were on scene and conducted an open-air sniff of Tyler's car, and Loki alerted to the presence of illegal drugs inside.
A search of the car resulted in the discovery of a black and silver box in the backseat, which contained a glass smoking pipe, containing methamphetamine.
Courtney was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail, where she was charged with:
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia.
