On Tuesday, Nov. 4, voters within the Town of Greenville will make a decision on the direction of the town when they elect three people to the Greenville Town Council. All the candidate appearing on the ballot are either currently serving on the council, or have served on the council in the past.
In the Group One race, incumbent Chiquila Pleas will face former Council Member Calvin Malone. The Group Two race will have incumbent Mayor Ryan Kornegay appearing on the ballot with former Council Member Kovacherich Arnold. The third seat being decided is the Group Five seat, which will pit incumbent Vice-Mayor Robin Housh against former Council Member Kathleen Hamilton.
All registered voters who live within the town limits of Greenville may vote in any of the races. The new Town Council will be sworn in during an organizational meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6. The organizational meeting will be followed by the regular November meeting of the Greenville Town Council. The meeting will take place in the Greenville Senior/Youth Center, located at 152 SW Onslow St., in Greenville.
