Fundraising fishing tournament planned

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com Local anglers have an opportunity to enjoy a morning of fishing on Cherry Lake and support a great cause on Saturday, June 20. Dubbed the “Bassin’ for Jeff Benefit Bass Tournament” the event will help Madison County resident Jeff Gore, who is battling cancer. Entry for the tournament is $25 for youngsters age 11 to 15 and $50 per angler for those age 16 and older. Kids 10-years-old and younger can fish free with an adult and will receive a gift bag.
