I have made absolutely no secret of the fact that I love my job here. By and large, I am given the opportunity to do a lot of things I enjoy doing and get to know some nice, interesting people. Of course, not the least is the fact that I get to visit with you nice folks every week. That is not to say there aren’t occasional frustrations that come along with the job. That is the case with anything. Even an elevator operator faces daily ups and downs.
No matter how tough and difficult you may think your job is, there are probably those who have it worse. Think how you would like to be a product tester for a company that specializes in rectal thermometers. I did a quick look and found jobs that are probably a lot worse than yours. How would you like to be a whale snot collector? At one time I thought I might like to be a marine biologist. But I don’t know about flying a small aircraft over a whale, waiting for him to sneeze so I could collect the snot in order to run tests.
