As I am sure I have shared before, sometimes I have an easier time coming up with topics for our weekly visits than other times. It has happened on more than one occasion that I have had a topic in mind early in the day and by the time I actually begin to write something, it has changed completely. The drawback when this happens is, more often than not, I completely forget what the original topic was in the first place. Today is one such occasion.
The day began with me thinking about cooler days ahead. Then, when I left to get a sandwich for lunch, I heard something that prompted a change in the subject for today. A young person passed by with a rather loud muffler (can it really be called a “muffler” if it makes the engine sound louder?) on their vehicle. My mind quickly jumped to the question of “why?” I have heard loud vehicles quite often. It seems obvious to me that the reason for such loudness is to draw attention to one’s self.
