I’m sure everyone has heard the old adage, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” Well, one quick glance at the calendar informs me that the month of January is nearly history and that February is but a few hours away. Basketball season is nearly complete and baseball and softball seasons will be starting soon. It seems this month has flown by. That leaves me with one conclusion, I must have been having a lot of fun.
I will admit, I have enjoyed 2025 so far, for the most part. Still waiting on those greens and cornbread I had for New Year’s to kick in and bring me the wealth they were supposed to bring, but generally speaking, 2025 has been pretty good. I have managed to open my eyes and get up every morning (albeit with some reluctance on some mornings). For that fact alone, I am extremely grateful. Each morning I have been able to come to work, I have found that the locks have not been changed on the doors, so I am still able to keep up our weekly visits. I am very grateful for that. Each evening, I have been able to make it home in relative warmth and comfort. I’ve managed to keep a roof over my head. That’s also reason for gratitude. There are some more things on the horizon and in the works that will make life even better. All I can say about that is to “stay tuned and check your local listings.”
