One of the many things I looked forward to when I was looking to move to Madison from a much more “urban” area was a greater abundance of “peace and quiet.” I have found that with each new trip around the big yellow ball of gas in the sky, my appreciation of quiet increases exponentially.
I can honestly say that, for the most part, I have been very pleased with the generally peaceful and quiet atmosphere with which I am surrounded since moving to Madison County. There is the occasional “boom-da-boom” car stereo passing along State Road 6 and the neighbor across the way who tends to play their music a little louder than my personal taste, but that is usually limited to weekends.
