Count me as one of the strange people here on the sunny side, but I think my favorite “seasons” would be the time in between seasons. What I mean is that first cool snap that hints at the coming of fall. Or the first bit of frost on the ground when winter is on its way. Of course, who can resist that bit of afternoon warmth under a sunny sky when spring is approaching (add to that the smell of clay and the pop of baseballs meeting gloves and you have a glimpse of heaven, in my book).
For me, the changing of the seasons suggests a feeling of progress and of moving forward. Along with that is the idea that there’s still something to do and even more to accomplish. Of course, I am very hesitant to include seasonal yard work in that category. For that matter, I tend to be very hesitant with anything having to do with yard work.
