Growing up along the coast of Georgia, with two parents who were both educators, Leslie Saltares swore she would never follow in their footsteps. “I swore I’d never, ever teach,” she recalls with a laugh. But, life has a way of charting its own course, and for Saltares, that course led straight to the classroom.
