Florida minimum wage to increase in late September
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Florida’s minimum wage will increase to $14 per hour for non-tipped employees. The rate for tipped employees will rise to $10.98 per hour, with employers allowed to apply a tip credit of up to $3.02 per hour.
The increase follows the requirements of Amendment 2, passed by Florida voters in 2020, which calls for the state minimum wage to rise by $1each year until it reaches $15.00 per hour on Sept. 30, 2026. After 2026, adjustments will be tied to inflation.
