During the recent Madison County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event on Tuesday, Sept. 22, five local non-profit organizations received grant funding from the proceeds of the North Florida Pro Rodeo, held in Madison last spring. Organizers of the rodeo event stated early on that they wanted this event to be of benefit for the community, beyond provide an evening of entertainment. A total of $25,000 was divided among five non-profits organizations that provide a variety of services for the Madison County community. Many of the recipients pledged to use the funds for projects aimed at helping area youth while promoting agricultural interests.
Those receiving funding were:
• Earth Angels of Madison County
• Nu Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
• DSR Public Health Foundation
• My Shepherd’s Ranch
• Residing Hope Youth Ranch
In addition to presenting checks to each of the organizations, a time of food and fellowship was shared among the many attendees at the Madison County Chamber of Commerce Office.
The dates for the 2027 North Florida Pro Rodeo are set for Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13.
