The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Career Resource Center, located at 705 E. Base St., in Madison. The DRC will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., seven days a week.
Disaster recovery centers provide disaster survivors with information from various Florida agencies, FEMA and the Small Business Administration. Survivors can receive help applying for federal assistance and disaster loans, update applications and learn about other resources available.
Individuals affected by Hurricane Idalia can also apply for assistance online or by phone:
• Online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov
• Calling (800) 621-3362
• Through the FEMA mobile app
