On a beautiful Saturday morning on Oct. 15, Madison's newest coffee shop, Madison Coffee Company, held its ribbon-cutting ceremony, surrounded by dozens of friends and supporters.
It is the prayer of proprietors Geraldo and Christine Rodriguez, that the coffee shop becomes more than just a place to get a delicious cup of coffee or a delectable pastry. They hope that patrons come in and feel an inviting sense of friendliness and welcome that stems from their strong faith. This is evident from the many Bible verses one can find in the wall decorations throughout the shop. Even those who may not be particularly spiritual will not feel uncomfortable with the atmosphere. The atmosphere welcomes the senses with the smells of fresh ground coffee and the sights of original artwork on the walls by local artist Danny Graves.
In addition to a wide variety of specialty coffees, Madison Coffee Company serves smoothies and protein shakes, hot chocolate and many different flavors of tea. One can also find bakery items from muffins to cheesecake and more to satisfy any taste.
Madison Coffee Company is located at 375 NE Marion St., in Madison, just off Hwy. 53, between Colin Kelly Hwy. and Hwy. 90. They are open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
