Mr. Eulis “Cotton” Jordan, of Lee, Fla., passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his wife and children. Cotton was born on March 2, 1935, in Autryville, Ga., to John and Jewel Johnson Jordan. He resided with his family in Madison County, Fla., for the last 58 years. Cotton retired after a lifelong career with Winn Dixie grocery. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kirk Wallace Jordan; brothers: Joe, Walter and Willie Jordan and sisters: Pauline Phillips, Viola Sterling, Juanita Burns and Eula Jordan.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ellen NeSmith Jordan; daughter, Shawn (Don) Padgett, of Tallahassee, Fla.; son, Bruce (Lisa) Jordan, of Lee, Fla.; Sheila (Brent) Whitman, of Madison, Fla. and Jewell (Josh) Rollins, of Madison, Fla. He is also survived by grandchildren, Miranda Padgett and Vanessa Padgett of Tallahassee, Caitlyn Jordan and John Jordan of Lee, Roxanna Whitman (Alex) Wing, of Arlington, Wa., Julua Rollins (Brad Touchton), and Zane Rollins of Madison, Fla.; one great-grandson, Koda Touchton, of Madison, Fla.; and one sister, Tiny Blackburn, of Moultrie, Ga. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
