Drug charge ends with five-year sentence

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com On Thursday, May 14, Butch Brinson, 69, of Madison appeared before the Hon. Melissa Olin, in the Madison County Courthouse, to answer to the charge of sale of cocaine. Brinson entered a plea of guilty and was judged guilty and sentenced to five years in the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections. He was also ordered to pay $765 in court-related costs. He was given credit for 126 days of time served. Brinson’s driver’s license was also suspen
