According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), on Tuesday, March 10, at approximately 2:52 p.m., deputies received a report of gunfire along Boundary Street east of Byrd Avenue. Callers reported a small red or maroon four-door sedan from which multiple shots were fired as it drove down Boundary Street toward a residence before leaving the area.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located ten spent shell casings on the south side of the roadway. Witnesses told investigators they saw a while male seated behind the driver firing out of the vehicles window as the car passed by the home.
Authorities have obtained a photograph of the suspects’ vehicle and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the car and its occupants. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Lt. Jeff Rosenberg at (850) 869-0076.
