Our little town is moving up in the world. On Tuesday, Nov. 16, DoorDash will be available to the City of Madison. For those who may be unfamiliar, DoorDash is a technology company that allows people to order food from participating restaurants in their town and have it delivered to their home, work, hotel room or wherever they please.
DoorDash provides a plethora of job opportunities as they are always accepting delivery drivers, who they call “Dashers.” DoorDash offers their Dashers a flexible schedule and financial stability. You can work for DoorDash as a full-time Dasher or as a side-job to put some extra change in your pocket. You decide whether or not you will pick up an order and keep up with your own schedule.
DoorDash looks to give back to the community, and launched Project DASH (DoorDash Acts for Sustainability and Hunger) in 2018. DoorDash used this initiative as a way to focus on tackling the problems of hunger and food waste in the communities they serve. For each order placed on DoorDash's website and mobile app, DoorDash donates one meal through the Feeding America Charity. Since 2018, DoorDash has donated 6.5 million meals.
For local restaurants interested in partnering with DoorDash to expand their business revenue, you can visit doordash.com and select “become a partner,” to sign up. For Madison residents interested in ordering, you can download their mobile app from your device's app store, or you can order online at doordash.com.
If anyone is interested in delivering for DoorDash, you can apply online at doordash.com.
