District teachers to be honored

Rick Patrick  rick@greenepublishing.com The Annual Golden Apple Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet is set to take place on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 6:30 p.m., in the Madison County High School (MCHS) cafeteria. The banquet is hosted by the Madison County Foundation for Excellence in Education and will recognize the Teachers of the Year from each of the schools in the Madison County School District. The schools’ Teachers of the Year are: • Kimberly Gurley - Lee Elementary School •
