Hello, my fellow Madison County District Four neighbors and friends,
My name is DeWayne O'Quinn, and I am running to be your next County Commissioner for District Four, which represents the southern portion of Madison County. I was born and raised here, and I still call District Four home. Madison County isn't just where I live—it's home. It's where I've built my life, worked hard and remained committed to the values that make our community strong: faith, responsibility and looking out for one another.
I am proud to have been married to my wife, Kelli O'Quinn, for 18 years. Our family is deeply rooted in this community, and like yours, we care about the future of Madison County. We are active members of New Home Baptist Church in Madison, where we both serve as teachers and participate in many areas of church life.
After graduating from Madison County High School in 1982, I attended Lively Vocational Technical College, where I earned my Master Electrical License. I have worked as an electrician for 44 years. In 2007, my wife and I started our own electrical contracting business. As small business owners, we have weathered recessions, inflation, COVID-19, and supply challenges. Along the way, we have proudly supported local organizations through donations. I understand what it takes to run a business, meet payroll, and make responsible financial decisions.
I have also proudly served our county through the Madison County School District in transportation, as a supervisor, and as a maintenance and facilities supervisor. In these roles, I gained hands-on experience managing budgets, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring efficient operations. I am knowledgeable in Florida laws and regulations, building codes and labor laws.
I love our community and the people who make it special. Through hard work and perseverance, our residents have built a wonderful place for our youth. Together, we have overcome challenges—including rebuilding after three hurricanes—which proves that when we work together, we can create a future our children can be proud of.
I am running for County Commissioner in District Four as a Republican because I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility and leadership that works for the people—not politics.
As your commissioner, I will:
• Improve and maintain our roads and infrastructure
• Support local jobs, small businesses and agriculture
• Protect property rights and preserve our rural way of life
• Ensure your tax dollars are spent responsibly and efficiently
I believe in hard work, accountability and being accessible to the people I serve. I'm not running to be a politician—I'm running to go to work for you.
You won't have to wonder where I stand or how to reach me.
I will return your calls.
I will listen before I vote.
I will represent the people—not special interests. On Election Day, I respectfully ask for your vote for County Commissioner, District Four.
CHRISTIAN. HUSBAND. NEIGHBOR. PUTTING MADISON COUNTY FIRST!
