Dennis Pitts prepares to take over as Madison County Building Official

Mickey Starling reporter3@greenepublishing.com On Monday, Dec. 15, the Madison County Building Department had a new face as the building official. Dennis Pitts began training to take the helm after serving with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years, replacing the retiring Tony Sessions, who has held the post since 1999, except from 2002 to 2006, when he served as a building inspector in Valdosta, Ga. Though Pitts spent many years as a Madison County Sheriff’s Office deputy and
