Debris pickup on private roads underway

Rick Patrick  rick@greenepublishing.com After months of wrangling with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) over debris pickup on private roads, Madison County Emergency Management Director Leigh Basford announced that the department has finally agreed to pick up storm debris from Hurricane Idalia from non-county maintained roads. Basford stated that on Thursday, Feb. 22, the FDOT made the announcement. This announcement comes after extensive advocating by not only Basford, but
