Cowgirls outlast Lions

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com   The Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowgirls held their home opener for the 2025-26 season on Thursday, Dec. 4, when they hosted the Lions of Leon High School, from Tallahassee, Fla. It was an exciting game that went down to the wire as the Cowgirls picked up their second win of the season with a 41-38 win over the Lions. The Cowgirls went out to an early lead and was able to sustain their lead throughout the contest. The low-scoring fi
