Cowgirls emerge as District Champs

Rick Patrick rick@greenepublishing.com On Tuesday, April 28, the Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowgirls faced off with the Lady Warriors of Aucilla Christian Academy in the Rural Class District Five softball tournament. The Cowgirls turned 14 hits into 10 runs as they defeated the Lady Warriors, 10-0, to advance to the championship game. The Cowgirls wasted little time bringing runners across home plate, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning. In the bottom of the fifth innin
