Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowgirl short-stop Carter Gore has signed to continue her softball career at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), in Tifton, Ga. Gore officially signed with the Fillies during a special ceremony in the MCHS Media Center on Wednesday, May 11.
During her four-year career with the Cowgirls, which includes the shortened 2020 season, Gore has established a .388 batting average with an on-base percentage of .459. She has a career total of 73 hits, including 13 home runs, and 69 runs-batted-in (RBIs) with 66 runs of her own. While playing short-stop, and catcher earlier in her Cowgirl career, Gore has a .938 fielding percentage.
Gore will be joining a Fillies team that has amassed a record of 36-18 this season.
Gore plans to help coach a travel softball team with the Pines organization this summer before making her way to ABAC, where she plans to study Agribusiness.
She is the daughter of Jeff and Rhonda Gore.
