Another Cowgirl member of the Class of 2022 has made a decision to continue her softball career at the next level. Brianna Thompson has made a verbal commitment to continue her education and take her softball skills to South Georgia State College.
During her four-year career as a varsity Cowgirl, Thompson had a batting average of .331 and an on-base percentage of .447. She totaled 52 hit and 46 runs batted in (RBIs). She also established herself as a slugging threat, with six home runs to her credit during this senior year.
South Georgia State College (SGSC) is a two-year school, located in Douglas, Ga. The Hawks softball team is coached by Jeff Ellis, who has established himself a highly successful coach, having coached three Olympic Gold Medalists and nine National Junior College All-Americans.
While at SGSC, Thompson plans to study business. She is the daughter of Danny and Kellie Thompson.
