It’s time to say thank you to an outstanding member of the Madison County community.
One of the most coveted awards is the 2016 Citizen of the Year Award, sponsored by the Madison County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism and presented to a resident of the county who has made a positive difference through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism and overall public service to this county.
These inspiring activities should be outside the duties of the individual’s regular job.
If you know someone living in Madison County who deserves this honor, fill out the form available from the Madison County Chamber website at http://madisonfl.org/festivals.php.
Fax the form to (850) 973-8864 or mail the nomination to the Madison County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, 316 SW Pinckney Street, Madison, Fl.
Previous winners are not eligible to be nominated again for the 2016 award.
The person chosen as 2016 Citizen of the Year will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 35th Annual Down Home Days Parade on Saturday, April 16.
Merv Mattair, the 2015 Citizen of the Year, will present the 2016 Citizen of the Year award on Friday evening, April 15, at 5:45 p.m., just prior to the Becky’s Dance Steps Studio recital in front of the Madison County Courthouse Annex on SW Pinckney Street.
When nominating an individual as Citizen of the Year, include how the nominee has contributed to different aspects of community life over a period of time through leadership, community involvement, volunteerism and overall public service. It’s time to celebrate Madison County’s human resources!
