On Saturday, April 22, Christopher's Message, a local suicide prevention and awareness non-profit organization, will hold their Second Annual Lanterns on the Lake ceremony. April 22 was the birthday of Christopher Sapp, a young man who was tragically lost to suicide. The event will be a time to celebrate Christopher's life and memory by placing lanterns in the lake.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., at the Lake Francis Pavilion, located on SE Lakeshore Dr., in Madison. There will be t-shirts and other merchandise available. A raffle for a self care basket will take place and donations will be gratefully accepted. “We appreciate all that have supported us in this journey to date and pray that many more will become advocates to save lives with us,” said Bobbi Sapp, mother of Christopher Sapp.
If anyone would like more information on, or would like to donate to Christopher's Message, please call Bobbi Sapp at (850) 464-6130.
