It wasn't a traditional “banquet” for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce this year. That was to be expected as the area begins to make its way away from the grips of the virus that has put a damper on so many events of the past year. In the eyes of many who attended the event on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Madison Church of God, it was even better. This year, the Chamber chose to substitute their usual banquet with a “Taste of Madison” event. For the Taste of Madison, various restaurants from Madison brought examples of their fare for those present to sample. The consensus was that the attendees thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to sample many local restaurants in one location.
Another highlight of the evening was the announcement of the “Best of Madison” winners. These awards recognize those businesses and individuals who exemplify the very best Madison has to offer. The evening also featured a silent auction, featuring items donated by numerous businesses and organizations.
All in all, this year's event was a huge success and a fitting way to celebrate everything that makes Madison such a great place to live, work and play.
