The Madison Garden Club is proud to announce that the lawn of Sylvia Catron has been named the January Yard of the Month. Catron and her husband, Jim, have beautified their residence with various flowering plants, shrubs and greenery.
The Catrons’ home is nestled on a sloped lot and anchored by foundation plants designed to draw the eye to the front door. The plants are variegated liriope, everblooming roses and there is a yard hanger for seasonal baskets. Seasonal annuals fill spaces. In addition to the front plantings, camellias, azaleas and hydrangeas compliment the landscape. Congratulations are extended to the Catrons for this accomplishment.
The Madison Garden Club's Yard of the Month is orchestrated by club members Faye Browning and Hiroko Cherry, to whom gratitude is extended for their efforts. The Madison Garden Club meets the first Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Madison Woman's Club building, located at 345 SE Lakeshore Drive, in Madison.
