All area chili cooks and aficionados are reminded that the Second Annual Madison County Chili Cook-off and Brewfest is planned for Saturday, Feb 10, from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. The event will take place at Lanier Field, in Madison. In addition to some of the best chili the area has to offer, there will also be craft beers to sample, live music, vendors and more.
To enter your best chili creation, a $35 entry fee is required. There will be cash prizes awarded for the People’s Choice and the Judges’ Favorite. A special Scorcher Award trophy will be awarded to the hottest chili.
The event will also feature live entertainment by KatieO Music, from Jacksonville, Fla., Joe Michaels Music, from Nashville, Tenn. and Southern Brothers, from Adel, Ga. (featuring Madison’s own David Ginn). General admission tickets will be available at the gate. A $5 ticket will allow you to sample all the chili and vote for your favorite. A $25 ticket allows you to sample all the chili you would like and vote for your favorite, plus wash it down with all the craft beer you would like. Please note that an ID is required to receive beer.
A variety of vendors will be on hand with plenty of crafts, apparel, jewelry, local artisans and much more.

The event is presented by Forgotten Coast K9 and all proceeds will go to providing service dogs for first responders and veterans, along with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
