From Monday, Oct. 16 through Friday, Oct. 20, various businesses and establishments in Madison will bring awareness to breast cancer through different events.
On Monday, Oct. 16, the Chamber of Commerce invites the public to paint the town pink. Participants will meet at the Chamber of Commerce in Madison at 10 a.m. Breast Cancer Awareness decorations will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own.
On Tuesday, Oct. 17, The Drip Experience will host a painting event. At 10 a.m. the Drip Experience will paint/hide rocks with breast cancer awareness messages.
On Wednesday, Oct. 18, the Chamber of Commerce will walk around town to raise awareness for breast cancer. Participants are asked to meet at the Chamber of Commerce at 10 a.m. Be sure to wear pink.
On Thursday, Oct. 19, you can visit one of the lemonade stands set up at Grumpy's Diner, Norris Cafe or at the Madison County Public Library. The lemonade stands are set up from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with pink lemonade to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
On Friday, Oct. 20, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, there will be a Breast Cancer Hero's tree set up. Please take a moment to come by and add a ribbon or card to the tree in honor of someone who has or had breast cancer.
