The Boyz to Kings local mentoring and dropout prevention program has once been selected as the “Best of Florida” by the “Guide to Florida” publication. For the fourth year in a row, Boyz to Kings has won the prestigious award in the Family Services category. In addition, the Boyz to Kings sister organization, Girlz to Queens, won Best of Florida Regional in the same category.
“Four years in a row receiving this amazing recognition along with our Girlz to Queens winning Best Regional makes my heart smile,” said Boyz to Kings Founder and CEO Merv Mattair. “When God gave me this vision in 2009, there was no money, no building and no clear path, so faith has been the way and through faith I see now that no matter where you are from, as long as the focus is on doing His will over the will of man, greatness is inevitable. We want our youth to become productive citizens who add love, peace and truth to society as adults, so we must protect their childhood by declaring ‘not this one,’ ‘not your child,’ ‘not my child.’ It takes work, but it's better when we work together and together we will continue to win.”
