Every month, the parent volunteers in the Boyz to Kings program are awarded for their dedication to the group. However, they also receive annual awards, and recently, four adult volunteers received awards in honor of their love and dedication to the growth and development of the young men in the program.
This year, the winners were James “Spank” Fudge, Suzanne Milliron, Chantrell McQuay and Flora Kelley. Fudge won the “2021 My Small Town Hero” award. Milliron won the “2021 Tammy Salter Adult Servant of the Year” award. McQuay and Kelley received certificates of achievement, as the young men in Boyz to Kings are grateful for their services and influence in the program.
The Adult Servant of the Year is awarded every year to someone who often goes unnoticed by society, such as bus drivers, cooks, troops, parents, janitors, etc. These are people that are usually driven by passion and work behind the scenes, to make a difference in the lives of others.
