TCC, one of the nation’s largest Verizon authorized retailers, announces today it has donated $1,000 to Boyz to Kings in Madison, in celebration of its Madison store’s re-opening. The store is open to customers at 378 East Base Street, and Boyz to Kings was chosen to receive the donation by the local store team.
“At the core of our business is a desire and passion to give back to our communities, so we are excited to celebrate our Madison store’s re-opening by donating and giving back to an integral organization in their community,” said Scott Moorehead, CEO of Round Room, parent company of TCC. “Boyz to Kings provides numerous services and resources to enhance the lives of the young men of Madison, and we’re proud to help them with this cause.”
Established in 2009, Boyz to Kings is a dropout prevention and intervention mentoring program designed to teach, mentor and empower young men for their journeys to college, their professional careers and overall lives. Serving youth ages six to 18, Boyz to Kings provides free programs to develop young men in a family-centered environment.
“TCC’s kindness and generosity in donating to our organization will help us continue our purpose in guiding our young men to be at their best in the various aspects of their lives,” said the Boyz to Kings Executive Director and Founder Merv Mattair. “We are excited to use these funds to ensure that our youth services continue to be effective and consistent for all we serve.”
